SignaCare Killerig is a unique, luxury nursing home in a beautiful setting between Carlow and Tullow.
It is a state of the art facility, expertly designed with a focus on providing the space for independence yet in the security of constant care.
The spacious and welcoming living areas are complemented by luxurious bedrooms filled with natural light – all combining to create a beautiful environment for our residents.
We provide 24 hour, 7 days a week nursing and GP care with access to other healthcare professionals as appropriate. This includes physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy dieticians, tissue viability nurses. We offer both single and twin rooms – all ensuite.
Situated within a rural village, SignaCare Killerig offers exceptional healthcare services, the best living standards, comfort and support, at affordable rates. A new extension will commence development in January 2024.
SignaCare Killerig is registered by HIQA, with Private Healthcare Insurance Companies and is also approved for the Nursing Home Support Scheme (Fair Deal Scheme).
Accommodation
SignaCare Killerig compromises 45 luxury bedrooms including 5 double rooms. All rooms are ensuite.
Residents are encouraged to bring items from home to personalise their environment.
Activities Programme
Residents are provided with an extensive list of social care activities. These will assist our residents mentally and physically as well as bring them joy.
Residents remain very much part of the community and local schools and college students are frequent visitors.
Our activities coordinator works with our residents to develop bespoke activity plans based on their interests. These activities include live music, exercise classes, gardening, arts and crafts, baking, seasonal celebrations.
Our beautiful terrace and green spaces are the perfect spot to relax and enjoy some sunshine.
Residents are also encouraged to continue with community based activities that they have been involved with such as those with local societies, choirs, men’s shed or day care centres.
