SignaCare New Ross is a unique nursing home in the beautiful woodland setting of The Ponds, New Ross, Co Wexford. New Ross is a thriving market town in Ireland’s Sunny South-East. It is convenient to Wexford (38km), Waterford (22km) and Kilkenny (40km).
Our spacious and welcoming living areas are complemented by bedrooms filled with natural light – all combining to create a beautiful environment for our residents.
We provide 24 hour, 7 days a week nursing and GP care with access to other healthcare professionals as appropriate. This includes physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy dieticians, tissue viability nurses. There is a 27 bed specialised Dementia Suite with a dedicated support team to address each individuals needs.
SignaCare New Ross is registered by HIQA, with Private Healthcare Insurance Companies and is also approved for the Nursing Home Support Scheme (Fair Deal Scheme).
Accommodation
SignaCare New Ross compromises 62 luxury bedrooms including 4 double rooms. All rooms are ensuite. Residents are encouraged to bring items from home to personalise their environment.
Activities Programme
An extensive list of social care activities is developed in conjunction with our residents at their monthly meetings. These activities assist our residents mentally and physically as well as bringing them joy. Residents remain very much part of the community and local schools, students and volunteers are frequent visitors.
Activities include live music, exercise classes, gardening, arts and crafts, baking, seasonal celebrations, religious ceremonies, quizzes, bingo, reminiscence therapies.
Residents are also encouraged to continue with community based activities that they have been involved with such as those with local societies, choirs, men’s shed or day care centres.
